Remote working
"Remote working means work remotely", it sounds simple and logical, right? And yet a lot of people forget about that.
"Remote working" is defined as working from a location other than a traditional office setting. However, simply working from a remote location does not guarantee productivity.
Many people misinterpret remote working as an opportunity to relax, sleep, or multitask. While remote working can offer flexibility and work-life balance, it is important to maintain a professional mindset and approach work in a focused and dedicated manner. Failure to do so can lead to decreased productivity and a lack of focus.
To mitigate distractions while working remotely, consider the following suggestions:
Pomodoro Technique: Set a timer for 25 minutes and work on a single task until the timer rings. Then, take a 5-minute break. Repeat this cycle four times, then take a longer break of 20-30 minutes.
Dedicated workspace: Create a dedicated workspace in your home that is free from distractions. This could be a spare room, a corner of your bedroom, or even a desk in a common area.
Scheduled "no phone" zones: Set aside specific times during the day when you will not use your phone. This could be during work hours, during meetings, or during periods of focused work.
By following these suggestions, you can reduce distractions and improve your productivity while working remotely.
