A story about hard working in the past
Embracing Change, Building Skills, and Enjoying the Journey 🌟
Lately, I've noticed more and more friends encountering difficulties in finding new jobs, hitting roadblocks, and making little progress. Personally, as I'm also open to new employment opportunities, I completely understand the feelings many of you are experiencing. I hope you will soon overcome these challenges and draw valuable lessons for yourselves once everything returns to normal. 🙏
Today, I'd like to share a recent realization from a brief experience I had. It all started about 7 years ago when I was working for a corporate company. While I was diligently working every day, I noticed some colleagues working rather casually, just to fulfill their duties. However, they were actually investing their passion into other endeavors. When I expressed my concerns about their work approach, I received some dismissive responses. 😔
Truth be told, at that time, I was more focused on technical matters and didn't fully understand everything. Specifically, what they were passionate about, I prefer not to delve into to avoid ambiguity. Many years later, especially after returning to work in my home country and facing numerous challenges, I finally understood that my former colleagues' approach was entirely appropriate. I won't dwell on right or wrong because everyone has their own perspectives. Some people enthusiastically dedicate themselves to the company, while others strive to balance everything.

Through the short story above, I want to share that:
Being diligent at work doesn't necessarily make you rich. If you see someone working diligently and succeeding, they usually have their own unique approaches, not just by working diligently for the company. 💼
Try to improve cross-disciplinary skills while you're comfortable. Because these skills are crucial for stepping out of your comfort zone. For example, IT professionals also need to learn about finance, marketing, and sales. Don't just focus on developing IT skills alone. 📚
Build a suitable network to develop your skill set. 🌐
Currently, I'm not working, and I'm open, but I don't feel stressed or challenged at all. On the contrary, due to thorough preparation, I'm really enjoying life at this stage. I hope to have more time to share about my current life in other posts. 😊
